Instructions for entering the 2009 HowlOWeen Costume Photo Contest

• Go to: http://animal-pictures.petsmart.com/
• Click the "Register" link (in blue) in the upper right hand corner.
• Read the terms and conditions and click "I agree."
• Create a username and password.
• You will see verification that you can login and enter the contest. Click "Continue."
• Click the "Login" link (in blue) in the upper right hand corner.
• Type in your username and password and click "Enter."
• Click the "Submit your photos" link (in blue) in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
• Browse to find your photo and upload it. The size of files uploaded should not exceed 1024 KB each. Also be sure to keep the resolution at 72 dpi. Also, the photo must be in jpg, jpeg, gif, or png format. TIF or bmp files will not upload.
• You should get a message telling you that your upload was successful. If your upload is not successful, send me your username and the photo.
• If your upload is successful, your photo will be approved and posted to the gallery within 48 hours.

Need some help uploading your photo to the gallery? Here are some tips:

• Make sure the size of your files does not exceed 1024 KB each.
• Be sure to keep the resolution of your photos at 72 dpi.
• The photo must be in jpg, jpeg, gif, or png format. TIF or bmp files will not upload
• Once your photos meet each of these requirements, try uploading them one at a time.
• Remember, we can’t accept photos with people posing with a pet for this Contest. For example, a photo that includes a human face or any other feature that renders the human identifiable will not be approved.
• It takes approximately 72 hours for photos to be approved, so once you upload a photo to the gallery, you won’t see it immediately.
• You won't receive an e-mail letting you know that your photo has been posted to the gallery. You’ll have to check back to see if it’s in there (remember, photos can take up to 72 hours to be approved and post to the gallery).

If your photo meets all of the requirements above, you’ve followed the instructions for the gallery and waited 72 hours for your photo to be approved and still don’t see it in the gallery, send an e-mail and include your gallery username plus your photo as an attachment to photocontest@ssg.petsmart.com.
